Get An Upgrade Over The Traditional Task Manager

Posted on 9:06 PM by Unknown

The task manager as we all know allows you to close programs when they are not responding and it allows you to see what process' are running on your computer. Now as we know this as very limited use, and there have been other tools that can do the same thing, but none gives you as much information, and none other has a built in scanner to determine if the process is safe. This program is Comodo KillSwitch, and this is one of the best upgrades for your task manager that you will ever make. This program is published by the antivirus company Comodo and is one of the most widely used programs for antivirus testings. So this program is something that you will want if you want to see what is running on your computer and to determine if it is malicious or not.

You will love the built in scanner with this program because you will be able to tell immediately whether or not you are using a malicious program, and this is something that I like about it as well. Not to mention the fact  that you can set it as your default task manager which is really nice because you wont have to keep an icon on the desktop. So yes Comodo has done a very good job with making a very well recognized program that has become so widely used.

How Good Is The Detection Rate?

Comodo is not tested in any official tests but in many personal tests it scores above the 80% - 90% range. It has done very well though even though there are not any detection rates. So you can trust the program and I have never had any false positives with the program but I don't really like their antivirus suite. Even though the suite is very protective I don't have that much control over the settings and that is something that I need when I am using a program.

Why Should I Use This?

This program gives you a lot more information over the default task manager that your computer comes with, and the antivirus engine is a huge plus. But if that does not convince you I can tell you that it monitors the process' much faster than that of the regular task manager which refreshes every 1-3 seconds. The other thing is the network connections which is very well detailed and has a lot of information to be gathered from there. Now they don't have a detection for those connections because it would not make any sense for them to have that and they cant test connections.
