Which Internet Browser Should I Use

Posted on 11:12 AM by Unknown

Most people have heard of the big 3 or 5 internet browsers. However many of you don't know of the many other internet browsers out there and even less know which one to use. This is not going to be saying you should use this because of its security features it is more along the lines of what do these browsers do to fit you better than the others. So I will do these 5 browsers and throw in a bonus one that very few people know of, but it still has a very loyal fan base considering its low usage. By the end of this post you will know what internet browser you want to use.

The Test Results were published so you don't need to view every video. I am sorry for the inconvenience. http://www.thedailyexposition.blogspot.com/2013/03/internet-browser-test-results.html

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is the stock browser in any windows running machine. However, there are some good things that you will love about this browser and some that you will hate. The big thing that you will like about Internet Explorer is the fact that it is made by Microsoft, and you can trust the company that makes it. However while this browser is made from a very well trusted company it runs into a lot issues and many of them are the lack of features.

The browser is very fast, and fluid however it lacks personalization and features that you will get in a lot of other browsers. It is a very simple and basic browser, and that is why those who are more tech savvy don't tend to use Internet Explorer. For instance when I am working on my website I always use Google Chrome because it is a lot easier to look at a piece of code through their options than it is with Internet Explorer. However, Microsoft does allow companies to make toolbars from their browser but over the years this has become an issue with unsafe browsers.  Now with the windows store for windows 8 devices and that it will be staying with us this would mean within the coming months or years Microsoft will allow users to create extensions and add-ons like Google Chrome and download them from the Windows store. So the path that Microsoft chooses to take can make a large impact on this browser.

So if you are looking for a very simple browser that is simple to use and is not loaded with a bunch of extra features then you should Internet Explorer because it is becoming a lot better and it still holds the position as the most used internet browser in the world. The browser is very good quality and from my own testing deserves more credit.

Google Chrome (My Favorite)

Google Chrome is a very fast and very well polished browser. This browser is not only the most secure but as far as display tests go it is tied with Internet Explorer however it has one major flaw. That is the user they complain that the browser is too slow, and they blame it directly on the browser however there are a lot of ways to speed up the browser.
This browser gives me access to the Chrome Webstore which has thousands of apps and extensions for my browser. The reason that I prefer it is because it is a lot easier for a writer and a developer than that of Internet Explorer.
If you are looking for a browser that is easy, secure, and has a lot of toys to play with then use Google Chrome.

Firefox

Firefox while a very stable browser has been found to have more security exploits than Internet Explorer 10 however it does have the most apps of any browser. The browser in my opinion has a very ugly and complex layout compared to many other browsers. Now the other sad thing that I have run into with this browser is that it does not do well on the display tests, and this is something that really needs to be worked on because so far I feel that this browser is not as good as people make it out to be and that Google Chrome is a lot better.

Safari

This is the worst internet browser that I have ever tested it failed the acid 3 test it had the lowest score on the html test, and it was extremely slow. This is something that they need to do but as far as desktop browsers  do not use Safari this is the worst, and it should be tossed out by Mac users. If you are using a Mac or an iPhone do yourself a favor and use another browser such as Google Chrome. It did very well on the security test, but it sucked in everything else and I don't even know where to begin on how bad this browser failed.

Opera

This browser is very stable and is also very well recognized, but it does need some serious changes. The clean UI that you get with this program is something that you will love however what it lacks is apps like those of Google Chrome. This is because it is not a very well known browser, but it has always been one that I liked because this browser has a very dedicated following.  The best thing about this browser is the clean crisp UI, and it is a very stable browser.

Maxthon Unkown

This is a very popular Chinese browser that has slowly been gaining momentum. The browser has a lot of built in social features, BUT there is one major thing that they did wrong. The company cheated on the html 5 test, and this is something that is wrong and that has given the company some bad feedback. The browser has though been very safe to use in terms of privacy and the lack of exploits are something that is much to be desired. This browser has come a long way since the original release of Maxthon, and I know that it will grow and only become better.
