So the big April Fools joke from Arenanaet has been getting a lot of attention by the players and many of them are wanting this 8 bit version of Guild Wars 2 to be part of the game, and I think that it would be a nice addition to the game and it would offer the players who are the max level more content to stop them from jumping to another game or just creating another character only to do the same game to level 80 again. Now the amount of work that they have put into this prank has astounded the players as well as me.
Seriousness?
There is absolutely no seriousness that went into the creation of this because it is just a fun 8 bit version of Guild Wars 2. They just send you on a mission, and you go through jumping over walls and just having fun in this little mini game. I think that this is a great part of the game, and it needs more work because this is something that the players want. I think that it should be part of the game because the amount of effort that was put into this it would be too hard for them to let go of it. Now Arena net does not remove things and many event missions have become permanent parts of the game so this will likely stay around and if the support grows it will likely stick around and get many updates.
