Iobit Random Password Generator Review

Posted on 8:27 PM by Unknown

If you are like me and need to remember a lot of different passwords but also want them to be secure but don't know who to trust well here is your solution. Iobit does have a password generator that you can download for free from their website. The password generator can do 60+ characters with symbols letters and numbers, and the best part is that it can save the passwords so that you wont need to remember them. Now you will be wondering is it free well the answer to that is yes of course it is free, and it is a very good program for the price. So click the link below and you will see why it is I recommend this program.

Please watch the video above for my complete experience with this program and then you will be able to determine whether or not this is right for you.

Review

This program allows you to create super complicated passwords that are completely random, and the best thing is that you don't have to remember them because the program allows you to label them and save them. Now you will be thinking well what if I let someone else onto my computer can they access all of my passwords. The answer is no unless you don't set a password for the program then they can get into the program.

Now while this program is very useful for making super complicated passwords you will not want to use this for everything and here is the reason why. If you uninstall the program then your passwords might go with it, and this is something that you will not want to do. However there is a way to use this program efficiently.

Use the password generator for a super complicated program when it comes to an important account such as your Paypal account. Now to make sure that you keep this password safe you will want to save it to your Google Drive as a back up. NOW PLEASE USE THE 2 STEP VERIFICATION. While this program does save it someone can try to uninstall and then there goes the passwords. Now if you save them to Google Drive and don't have the 2 step verification then you will be at a major security risk because that almost makes it impossible to get your account hacked and this is something that you don't want or you will lose your accounts.

What Is A Black Hole

Posted on 11:51 PM by Unknown

A black hole is a theoretical concept in astrophysics that is the remains of a start after it has gone through a super nova. These are thought to be constructed by the very dense core of the star which in turn results in a singularity. The singularity is known as one of the most interesting and confusing ideas in physics because it does not make sense but when does anything in physics make sense or work for that matter (this was a joke, there is one person who will take it seriously and I don't want to give that person satisfaction).

What Is A Black Hole?

To make it simple a black hole got its name because no light can escape from a black hole once it reaches the event horizon. The idea of a black hole is something that has been explored and rethought by many physicists. The reason is because they are so strange in nature and they are so full of questions and awe however there is still a lot of mystery that surrounds these mysterious objects. Their exact composition is still questioned because if the gravitational pull caused the star to collapse in on its self then what is left for it to be made from?

How Is A Black Hole Created?

A black hole is created when a star goes into its super nova stage. Now that is what a lot of people know but it is a little bit more complex. A star when it goes into a supernova has such a large amount of compression inside that is swells outwards and is fighting the strength of its own gravity. While it is doing that its core is changing its elements. Now their becomes a point that the internal temperature that is causing this expansion weakens and the star collapses in on its self. Now the center of the blackhole is thought to be the remnants of the core. This center item is known as a singularity now this is were logic goes out the window spins around the yard comes back and hits you in the head.

What Is A Singularity?

The singularity is a theoretical concept that is a point that takes up no space at all, but has infinite gravity. Now think about that for a second the point is so small it takes up no space (or very little space) and yet its pull stops time. This is were it is truly theoretical because this can't be tested and the equations no longer make sense. They can't calculate this with QM or Einsteins Equation it just gives them an infinity. So this is where i am wanting more exploration into the field because these objects don't make any sense.

Which Internet Browser Should I Use

Posted on 11:12 AM by Unknown

Most people have heard of the big 3 or 5 internet browsers. However many of you don't know of the many other internet browsers out there and even less know which one to use. This is not going to be saying you should use this because of its security features it is more along the lines of what do these browsers do to fit you better than the others. So I will do these 5 browsers and throw in a bonus one that very few people know of, but it still has a very loyal fan base considering its low usage. By the end of this post you will know what internet browser you want to use.

The Test Results were published so you don't need to view every video. I am sorry for the inconvenience. http://www.thedailyexposition.blogspot.com/2013/03/internet-browser-test-results.html

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer is the stock browser in any windows running machine. However, there are some good things that you will love about this browser and some that you will hate. The big thing that you will like about Internet Explorer is the fact that it is made by Microsoft, and you can trust the company that makes it. However while this browser is made from a very well trusted company it runs into a lot issues and many of them are the lack of features.

The browser is very fast, and fluid however it lacks personalization and features that you will get in a lot of other browsers. It is a very simple and basic browser, and that is why those who are more tech savvy don't tend to use Internet Explorer. For instance when I am working on my website I always use Google Chrome because it is a lot easier to look at a piece of code through their options than it is with Internet Explorer. However, Microsoft does allow companies to make toolbars from their browser but over the years this has become an issue with unsafe browsers.  Now with the windows store for windows 8 devices and that it will be staying with us this would mean within the coming months or years Microsoft will allow users to create extensions and add-ons like Google Chrome and download them from the Windows store. So the path that Microsoft chooses to take can make a large impact on this browser.

So if you are looking for a very simple browser that is simple to use and is not loaded with a bunch of extra features then you should Internet Explorer because it is becoming a lot better and it still holds the position as the most used internet browser in the world. The browser is very good quality and from my own testing deserves more credit.

Google Chrome (My Favorite)

Google Chrome is a very fast and very well polished browser. This browser is not only the most secure but as far as display tests go it is tied with Internet Explorer however it has one major flaw. That is the user they complain that the browser is too slow, and they blame it directly on the browser however there are a lot of ways to speed up the browser.
This browser gives me access to the Chrome Webstore which has thousands of apps and extensions for my browser. The reason that I prefer it is because it is a lot easier for a writer and a developer than that of Internet Explorer.
If you are looking for a browser that is easy, secure, and has a lot of toys to play with then use Google Chrome.

Firefox

Firefox while a very stable browser has been found to have more security exploits than Internet Explorer 10 however it does have the most apps of any browser. The browser in my opinion has a very ugly and complex layout compared to many other browsers. Now the other sad thing that I have run into with this browser is that it does not do well on the display tests, and this is something that really needs to be worked on because so far I feel that this browser is not as good as people make it out to be and that Google Chrome is a lot better.

Safari

This is the worst internet browser that I have ever tested it failed the acid 3 test it had the lowest score on the html test, and it was extremely slow. This is something that they need to do but as far as desktop browsers  do not use Safari this is the worst, and it should be tossed out by Mac users. If you are using a Mac or an iPhone do yourself a favor and use another browser such as Google Chrome. It did very well on the security test, but it sucked in everything else and I don't even know where to begin on how bad this browser failed.

Opera

This browser is very stable and is also very well recognized, but it does need some serious changes. The clean UI that you get with this program is something that you will love however what it lacks is apps like those of Google Chrome. This is because it is not a very well known browser, but it has always been one that I liked because this browser has a very dedicated following.  The best thing about this browser is the clean crisp UI, and it is a very stable browser.

Maxthon Unkown

This is a very popular Chinese browser that has slowly been gaining momentum. The browser has a lot of built in social features, BUT there is one major thing that they did wrong. The company cheated on the html 5 test, and this is something that is wrong and that has given the company some bad feedback. The browser has though been very safe to use in terms of privacy and the lack of exploits are something that is much to be desired. This browser has come a long way since the original release of Maxthon, and I know that it will grow and only become better.

YTD Video Downloader Review

Posted on 9:40 PM by Unknown
This program has received a really amazing update that has more than doubled the download speed of videos as long as your internet allows that. The program allows you to download videos from youtube facebook and a lot more sites. This program lets you download programs and then if needed you can convert them from any youtube format to mp3 or mp4 the most common video types. Now in theory you can download music with this program but I don't support that idea. But you can use this to make video mosh ups and create compilations for videos and those are very popular especially if you make fail compilations. So read the full new features about the program and I will tell you whether or not this program is reliable to use.

Features From The Update

Downloads are 2 times faster.

Conversions are 2 times faster.
The downloads are now resumed automatically if the internet connection fails.

Download and conversion activity is now saved when the application is closed.
New, improved player for the best viewing experience so you don't need to leave YTD to watch your videos.
Support for a new website: youku.com.
Users who purchase YTD Video Downloader will not get secondary offers in the installer when they update/reinstall the product.

Why is this important?

Well the double speeds seem to be for free users as well which is good for you because you will probably not spend the 30$, but if you do more power to you and they deserve the money to do it. Now unlike other products there are no forms of malware in the installation but they do opt you to download their toolbar. This is something that is not needed, and it offers little benefits to use it. Now this program has been growing and at times you will feel like the developers have quit but that is not true they don't really release small updates but they release large scale updates that are worth the wait in my opinion. So if you are looking for a youtube video downloader then this is something that you might want to look into.

Here is the download location.

Glary Utilities

Posted on 9:43 PM by Unknown

Glary utilities offers a lot of bang for your buck however it does not have all the features that you can get from other products, and it's clunky looking UI is something that really needs to be worked on. You will get almost all of the features of advanced system care for the scanning, but it does lack when it comes to extras such as those found in the toolbox option of the program. So I will be giving my review of this powerful cleaner and PC optimizer.

Features

The features that this product offers are good enough for the average user, and that is all anyone will ever need.  There are enough features that will speed your computer up to the point that it will be at peak performance, but there are not as many that you can get from other products. Now I do find that it is very smooth and performs very well with the scan times as you can see in the video. It takes a few seconds longer than that of advanced system care if I filter out some of the scans from advanced system care.

Performance

There are a lot of programs that I have used over the years that try to speed up my computer, but this is one of the smoothest and most stable of those programs. That and ADC both perform very well in this side by side comparison. Which is why I can't really pick a winner between the two. ADC does slightly better, but they are so close that I don't want to give one the victory over the other.

User Interface

This is my biggest issue with the product it is so hideous to look at it. It really needs a lot of work because it looks to complicated for the average user and it needs a better "home screen" They need to have a average mode and then an expert mode. Like ADC but keep the expert mode like it is right now because they describe all of the settings and break it down very well. They even mention that the average user might not use them which is very good for those who don't want to break anything.

Verdict

If you are looking for a program that breaks all the features down in easy to use terms then this might be for you. If you are looking for a program that offers you more professional tools than this might not be the tool for you and you might want to search for other programs because this program lacks a lot of features. This program has a lot of support, and I want it to mature a little more so that it can capture a larger market or it will be a forgotten relic from the past.

How Often Should I Defragment My System?

Posted on 10:29 PM by Unknown

The question that I get a lot from my friends and the answer has no real answer and here is why. Every time you use a file it can be misplaced which means that you would need to defragment again, but they will not affect your system in any major way. So I will be discussing my rule of thumb on my own computer and I will give you a good defragmenter that is really fast, free, and optimizes the files so that they are going to speed up your computer faster.

What Does Defragmenting My Hardrive Do?

To put it in simple terms if puts your misplaced files in their correct positions. So they will not affect your documents but the files that you download such as those that are in Google Chrome. Now when it optimizes your files is where it gets kind of complicated, but I will make it simple. Now when your program defragments the files it will detect when they are most used. Now optimization will take the most used files and put them first in the list so to speak. So if I use Google Chrome daily, but I never use League of Legends. Then League of Legends will be put behind it so to speak. Meaning that chrome will load even faster and while League of Legends will load faster it is not a main priority. This will not make League Of Legends load slowly in any way so don't fear optimization embrace it.

How Often Do I Need To Defragment?

You should defragment your system once a week to a month. The more often it is done the faster it will be, but I recommend once a week if you download a lot of programs like I do. The reason is the more you download without defragmenting the slower your system will get and you don't want to do this. So do it once a week if you download a lot or once a month if you don't do a lot on your computer. Now what I do is I do it daily because my computer can do it in roughly 5 to 10 minutes which is pretty good, but this varies depending on how much I have downloaded that day.

So do it daily, weekly, or monthly any of them and your computer will be running smoother.

What Program Should I Use?

Now many people like to use the default windows program however I like to use other programs that give me more information and they are A LOT faster than the default windows one. So I recommend using Iobit Smart Defrag or their full system speed up tool program Advanced System Care.  Either of these programs will practically do it all by themselves, and they do it faster than any other program I have seen. Not to mention the fact that they automatically give you the files that needed to be defragmented and give a lot of useful information, but that is just something that I like. But these are the programs that I recommend you using for defragmenting your computer.

I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH IOBIT I JUST THINK THEY MAKE GREAT PRODUCTS.

How To Secure Google Chrome

Posted on 2:18 PM by Unknown
Now I have used Google Chrome for a long time, and I have thrown it up against tests but what it lacks is URL protection. It does not have a built in url scanner from any antivirus company so it is highly vulnerable to them. So today I will be giving some extensions and toolbars that can protect you from unsafe links. I did this with Internet Explorer and Firefox, but not all of those were compatible for Google Chrome. You will be able to see my full in depth explanation below.

Settings

The first thing to do is to make sure that you have the optimal settings for the browser so that it is more secure. Now click on the lines at the top of your browser and go down to the settings tab and click it. The first thing to do is make sure that your default browser is how you like it Google, Bing, Yahoo are the most common if it is not one of these and you would like it to be go down to where it says Search. Now click on Manage Search Engines then click on the default or add your own through the second box.

Now you will need to go down to where it says advanced settings and click it to open up those settings. Now go to were it says privacy and click every box EXCEPT the do not track box. This you could say is the incognito option, but it can cause issues on some websites. Now this is all you have to do in the settings so get ready to download some extensions an add-ons. Please remember you do not need all of these but because 1 or 2 is just as good.

Add-Ons and Extensions

Bitdefender Traffic Light again this product has managed to make the list because of it's protection but also because it is so non intrusive. The best thing is that it is in the Chrome Webstore so we do not need to go and download some other program from another website.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/trafficlight/cfnpidifppmenkapgihekkeednfoenal?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon

Web Of Trust this is my favorite because there are millions of people who can update the safety of a website based on their own experiences and it scans everything even Google Images. It is truly a must have extension and it is the best one on this list.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/wot/bhmmomiinigofkjcapegjjndpbikblnp?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon

Better Pop up blocker: This is an amazing blocker and blocks more than the built in one that is in Google Chrome. Now it will still show ads which is good for companies such as Google and it blocks the intrusive ones that get in your way and "pop up". This is one of the best tools for protection because there are still a lot of website that use insecure ads and have pop ups.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/better-pop-up-blocker/nmpeeekfhbmikbdhlpjbfmnpgcbeggic?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon

Mcafee Site Advisor: This free program is a toolbar that can scan all of the websites that are in your Google search and want you be for you click on them whether they are safe or not according to Mcafee. This is one of the most trusted scanners, and they are constantly adding new sites to the list.
http://www.siteadvisor.com/

Summary

These programs are meant to add an additional layer of security, and it works great in conjunction with your antivirus. This is why they are created your antivirus you could say is your download protection while the extension or toolbar is meant to protect you from unsafe sites. So if you use any combination of these tools you should be perfectly safe from online threats. AT THE VERY least get web of trust, better pop up blocker, and one other form of security program.

How To Secure Internet Explorer and Firefox

Posted on 11:37 AM by Unknown

When it comes to internet security there are those who know what to do and then there are those who don't. Now many people claim that they don't need any antivirus software because they believe in their own judgement when it comes to security. However, they are generally wrong and have some sort of malware on their computer. The most common way to get malware is from going to a malicious website. But there are tools beyond antivirus that can tell you whether or not a website is safe. Today I will be giving you tools that can warn you about unsafe sites.

Internet Explorer / Firefox

Internet explorer has been known to be insecure over the years though it has gradually gotten better and today I will be giving you the tools that can protect you from threats. firefox from my own experience has good default settings however it seems to lack anyways so you will be looking for some sort of extension to help you.

Before we go into downloading programs please make sure that you are running with the default settings for internet explorer because they offer a good security and will still display everything that you want it to. Now the next step for you is to determine what antivirus program do i have? Because there are some programs that come with built in browsers protection, but there are many that don't. But lets just say that your program does not provide any internet protection well there are many add-ons that you can download to protect yourself from these online threats BEFORE you encounter them. So here is a list of programs that you can use from TRUSTED antivirus companies.

Tools

Now many people do not trust such programs however there are ways for you to get around the use of the bar but still get the protection. For instance you can hide certain toolbars but the website rating will still be displayed. So in other words DONT USE THE DEFAULT SEARCH IN THE TOOLBAR. It is unnecessary, and it's privacy has been in question. However it can still protect your browser while you use your favorite search engine/
http://www.avg.com/us-en/special-toolbar-first-run-tlbrc-v2-mcr7

The most used tools are Mcafee's Site Advisor, and it is the most trusted because it offers you good security and it allows the community to contribute to it by becoming a web master. Now you still do not have to use the default search engine that it gives you but still get the protection by using Google or Bing.
http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/mac.html?q=promo

The next toolbar we have is the Ad-Aware security toolbar which offers more then the other browser and is updated a lot more than the other ones, and it offers more features. Now the toolbar might be a little confusing, and it only works on internet explorer and firefox according to their site.
http://toolbar.lavasoft.com/info.aspx

The last one and is by far the easiest and the best one is the Bitdefender Traffic Light. Which scans all urls and warns you if they are safe or not. Now the best part is that is all it does there are not toolbars it just scans stuff which is why I recommend this or the Ad-Aware one the most.

All Students Should Have The Right To Learn How To Program

Posted on 6:22 PM by Unknown
My title says it all I think students should have the right to learn how to program. From a recent census only about 10% of all public school students have the right to learn how to program, and this is something that even the students can change from a free tool kit offered by code.org. I filled out the email address just so I could review the lesson plan and it is really well thought out. Now you can use this information and start a club or after school program for it. From what I can tell there are 10 full weeks worth of work that can be completed from their website. Now this is something that I encourage people to do because everything on your computer is code even the operating system on the computer is coded. Now the sad truth is there are not enough coders and engineers that can fill all of the jobs that are available so that lead me to bring up our current title.

What Can I Do As An Educator?

If you are a teacher at the school then you can convince your students to start and after school program so they can choose whether or not they want to learn. You can get their attention by showing them what they could learn. Show them something that will want them to form goals such as a simple game or a website. Then try to convince them by telling them that it is an easy field to get into and that there are a lot of high paying jobs for coders and engineers. You can also go to http://www.code.org/teach to get the necessary teaching materials for an after school club. You will also need to encourage them to bring their friends along because learning how to code takes a lot of time and it is a lot more fun when collaborating with their friends.

What Can I Do As A Student?

If you are a student then you can go to your school's office and ask them what it would take to start up a club. If they give you the necessary items then you will need to find a teacher. The ones that are most likely to do it are your computer, engineering, math teachers because it is something that will probably spark their interest the most. Then you will need to give them this site to where they can get the materials to start up the program http://www.code.org/teach   . Then you will need to get as many of your friends to sign up and show them what it is they can create this will spark their interest, Also let them know that it is more fun if they can work with their friends. How you do this is up to you, but that can be an affiliate program if you would.

Why Should I Do This?

There are a lot of cool things that you can do with these skills but what you are looking to here is you can make money with it.programming is actually one of the most in demand fields currently. Also these skills can help you get jobs and get into colleges because not a lot of kids know how to program. This can give you a huge advantage to getting into a job in the field. Because if you know more languages then someone else then you have learned more then them at that can equate to more money.

How To Speed Up Your PC

Posted on 5:54 PM by Unknown

As we all know our computer seem to slow down with age and a lot of us are hesitant to go out and buy a new computer. Now I have done another post where I gave you all a program to use that can help you speed up your computer and that article is located here. So today I will be giving you more methods to help speed up your computer that can be used along with the above article. This way you can get the maximum increase to your computer's speed.

Below will be a list of ways to increase your computer's speed in general.

1. Empty your recycle bin. A lot of people think that just because the files are in the recycle bin that they are gone. Well if you empty it your computer can see a speed increase when it comes to loading your desktop at initial launch.
2. Limit the amount of start up programs. I know plenty of people who have 10+ programs starting at launch and what comes to my mind is do you even use them? If you don't use the product or it is not essential put it on a delay or stop it completely. You can turn off a startup program by entering the task manager. You can enter the task manager by using control ALT delete and then go to start up.
3. Don't have too many running programs. If you are playing a game, and you are downloading, and converting a video file then your computer will be slower you need to limit those. Stop playing the game and both the conversion speed and the download speed should increase.
4. Limit the amount of programs on your desktop. This can help with older PCs because of the initial launch of the desktop it is going to have to load all of the images for those programs. You can help by placing those icons into a folder.
5. Have a static background. This just means use 1 image as your background instead of it being a slideshow.
6. Scan for malware. Malware such as viruses can easily slow down your computer and the tools at the bottom of this post can help you speed up your computer and help remove malware.

Free tools to help you with your computer issues.

Here is Malwarebytes which is the most powerful secondary scanner on the market.
http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

Here is Iobit's Advanced System Care. The best thing to do here is go to the expert mode at the top and when the options come up click select all and let the program find issues.

Youtube Monetization Not Available In Your Country

Posted on 2:10 PM by Unknown

As we all know today thousands maybe millions of users are not able to monetize their newly submitted videos. Now Google at the time of this post has not said anything, but they have told us that they are working on the issue. So I am going to go over things that you should be doing while this is going on and what you need to do when they get the issue fixed.

What Is The Issue?

It is not your account it is an issue with the YouTube servers, and they are working to fix them. The issue is only applying to new monetized accounts within the last month. The reason is they must have had the server reset your account location and the default option is set for Afghanistan unfortunately you can't monetize in Afghanistan on the button to control this is going. So this will probably be fixed, and you will be required to change your account location after the issue is fixed.

How can I fix it

You can't fix the issue this is a glitch in their servers, and they are working on now well established accounts who are past 1-2 months of age should not have any issues with this. If you do go to the Google Product forums and wait for someone to send a ticket for you. You can send a ticket from your YouTube channel by going to the bottom and click on send feedback but don't spam it they are literally getting thousands of these reports. So please only send one in and provide a screen shot with the missing option.

What To Do In The Mean Time?

If you have a second YouTube channel you can upload those videos there and monetize them but if you don't you can try these ideas.

1. Get more social networking followers.
2. Work on or create a channel website. You should use blogger or Wordpress if you want a free one in the mean time.
3.  Create more videos and upload them all at once when you  get the option back.
4. Update social networking pages to keep them informed about the development.
5. Go onto the product forums and help. I have been on the forums for hours to help control the amount of people posting about the same issue.

Google Removes All Adblocks From Play Store

Posted on 8:43 PM by Unknown

As of 3/13/13 Google took a bold stand against ad blockers and removed any ad blocking ad from the Google Play store. So for publishers this is a great plus because they should in theory have a revenue increase. While publishers are happy many users are getting angry, but the real question is ad blockers morally correct, and to a greater extent where the ad blockers allowed in the store from the terms of service.

Why Did Google Remove Them?

Google removed them because they broke the terms of service by interfering with advertisements thus limiting publishers' income. People are in an uproar about this, but the sad truth is ad blockers are not wrong but I don't care whether or not people use them. I am going to get a lot of hate comments for this I just know it.

Are Ad blockers Morally Right

According to any company that is using ads no they are not and I personally don't think that they are because they interfere with business. Google also agrees with this statement since they removed all of the ad blockers down. Now as you can see I have 3 ads on this website and as the name goes it will block the ads so they are not displayed. Now let me give you some information my ads are not intrusive and are from Google. Now the arguments that people make are ads take up your bandwidth and slow down your browser. Now the ironic truth is ad blockers slow down the web page even faster, and they don't take up that much bandwidth i mean kilobytes that is not much. I want the comments to continue this debate so go to the comments section and debate the question above.

Will Google Return The Ad Blockers?

As it stands right now it does not appear to be so and Google has not made any comments about this at the current time. However, there are still ways to get the program, and that is to download it from the ad block.org website which will be posted below. I will say this Google will NOT go after anyone using this but for their revenue sake and that of their investors they needed to remove it from the store which any business man would understand.

How To Download Ad Block From Their Website

1. Go to your phone and enter the system settings.
2. Go to Security and Screen Lock
3. Go down to where it says. Unkown Sources.
4. Tap the button so that their is a check mark.
5. Go to this website http://adblockplus.org/en/android
6. Download the file.
7. Follow the installation settings.

Bitdefender Free Security Review

Posted on 5:47 PM by Unknown

Bitdefender free security is known for its idle scanning and the legendary protection that Bitdefender has to offer. It has passed the Av-Test.org test 2 times in a row with a 6/6 protection rating which is amazing. Now even with that their free product is all that it is above NOTHING. I trust that I am protected but with other products such as avast there were a lot more features and security options that you don't get with Bitdefender.

Features

It has real time protection like avast, but I question it's protection because I love to get information from my products and that is something you won't get with Bitdfender.

The idle scanning is a nice feature, and from the interface I can't find anyway to do a full scan that is included with every other antivirus product.

Link to your Bitdefender account. This will allow you to get the information of infected files like avast but again it lacks the features that it should have included.

Summary

After my time with this product I question its actual safety because it does not give me enough control like other products do. Not to mention that a lot of these free antivirus products are adding new features and while Bitdefender's free security is backed by their engine it lacks so many features and its UI is very annoying. But if you want a free antivirus product that gives you better protection and you will never have to use it then use Bitdefender Free security. But if you are interested in data and more control then do yourself a favor and don't use this product. I can't recommend this product to anyone who is very tech savvy, which is sad because I always liked Bitdefender's Products. They dumbed down the product too much for me but many of you reading this are going to be thinking what's wrong with you. Good protection and I don't have to do anything! I am sorry, but that is just not me.

Pro's
Good protection
Idle scanning
Connection with account

Con's
Not enough control
Small Ui
Not enough information from the shields running.
Not enough features.

Ratings  21/30 = 70%

Protection: 10/10 ?
Features: 4/10
UI: 7/10

Question mark by the protection because I am not sure what Bitdefender is protecting internet, files?

Google Reader Replacement

Posted on 3:28 PM by Unknown

As we all should have heard by now, Google will be shutting down its rss reader business entirely. This is a very sad disappointment for publishers, and many of us are switching to a new way to get our readers to get the same information. If you look at the top of my blog you will notice a symbol that looks like the wave in the picture above. Basically, it allows you to follow the blog and get updates on any new posts by delivering them to your email. The reader is a way to read that post, and it could manage it so if you were subscribed to multiple pages and read them from within the app. So I will be giving you my recommendation for a new feed reader.

My recommendation is another service that goes by the name of Feedly and to put things in perspective in 2 days after Google announced the end of google reader it has gained or 500,000 users. Now that is a lot and Google has a lot petitions being started so that the users can fight for their product. Unfortunately Google is going to be shutting it down so everyone has fled to Feedly. You will first want to go to their website which is here this is a third party service for feed reading.

You can use Feedly in your browser with a Google Chrome extension, on your Apple device, or on the Google Play store. This will allow you to access all of your feeds whether you are on the go or from your desktop. When you first sign up you can link it to your Google Reader unfortunately with its closing I don't recommend you doing it this way but signing up and adding the sites by creating an account the long way.

This application has a very clean layout and is very easy to use even if you have not used Google Reader. Now please remember for my website you can get the messages to your email without the use of a Feed Reader. Now I do recommend that you use these because it is very clean and it won't fill up your Inbox. Below are the steps to creating a Feedly account.

1. Sign up for an account here
2. If you were an ex google reader user then all of them will already be synced into your account.

There will be updates to this post incase Google changes their mind and I will be trying to find easier ways for you the readers to use Feedly for my website,

Alt + 12 ♀ female sign
Alt + 11 ♂ male sign
Alt + 6 ♠ spade
Alt + 5 ♣ Club
Alt + 3 ♥ Heart
Alt + 4 ♦ Diamond
Alt + 13 ♪ eighth note
Alt + 14 ♫ beamed eighth note
Alt + 8721  ∑  N-ary summation (auto sum)

Also you can truly punch in any random code and it will spit something out so add to the list with the comments and I will make sure to add it to this list.

Black Ops 2 Review

Posted on 10:24 PM by Unknown

Black-ops 2 is another game in the well known Call of Duty series. This game is a lot like all the other games it has multiplayer, and it is played almost exactly the same as the other ones. However, in this the kill streaks are a little different. They have a dragon fire which is a remote controlled aerial assault drone. Which means that you wirelessly control an air assault drone. It only has a mini gun attached and it is great for killing enemies but, it is easy to be destroyed. The way that you get kill streaks is also different it is by score. You get it up by anyway that you get a score. This makes it a lot easier to get points. Another thing is that when you get a kill with a kill streak it doesn't get you as many points. Which will make it a little harder to get kill streaks but in all the kill streaks are a lot easier to get. Another difference in multiplayer is obviously the maps because now they are a lot closer quarters. Like in comparison cracked compared to Cargo. Cargo has a lot of cover and some buildings but in cracked there is just a large path straight thru the middle of the map. This makes the map a lot more fast paced because you can never know what is coming out of the corner you have to be prepared for anything. This can make it more fun but also more dangerous.

Zombies are also a lot more differences there are more modes than just standard mode. There is Survival, Tranzit and Grief. Survival is the standard mode. It is all you could imagine but depending on the map you are playing on changes what you get to work with. The perks wall guns and whether or not you have the Pack-a-Punch. This can be a game changer. Next is Tranzit. This is where you start off in bus depot and you take a bus to all the different areas adding in two more a power station and a gas station. This is really fun and is what most people play. You can Pack-a-Punch, get any perk that they allow within any of the three areas, and go to two new areas which are Gas Station and power plant this makes for a much more fun gaming experience. Now finally there is grief. This is where there are two teams composed of four players compete in the same area trying to survive. You can only do this in town and farm. You can knife the other team to stop them from reviving their teammate you can throw an EMP grenade to close the box and on perks to get rid of them for a short while and throw rotten meat gotten from a power-up to attract zombies at them and kill them.

The campaign is also completely different then the other games. At the start at every mission you can create a class pick its guns perks and tactical and lethal grenades. Also early on you can get to pick what mission to do next. Plus obviously the story is much different. You are trying to capture the leader of a drug cartel named Raul Menedez. His a very dangerous man and his motives are sort of understandable. I can't tell you his motives though because then I would be spoiling. There is something else new you choices can affect what happens. This is a completely different ball game. Are you ready for it?

SpyBot Search And Destroy Review

Posted on 9:02 PM by Unknown

There are a lot of dedicated users of Spybot search and destroy, and that is because this is the only program that offers very powerful real time protection that is compatible with any antivirus. Not to mention that this program is a legend it was one of the first anti spyware programs on the market and they educated what spyware was because it was such a new idea. But you will learn why it is that I use the real time protection of Spybot search & destroy. So I will go into all of the features below.

Features

System Scan: This is really obvious Spybot will scan your entire computer for spyware with a fairly quick scan time. My first scan took about 16 minutes for a full scan which is a pretty good time.
File Scan: This will allow you to select certain files to scan. You can even scan by right clicking on the file like any antivirus product.
Immunization: This is part of the real time protection modules that are included in Spybot this is one of the features that Spybot has over its competitors. It will allow you to put walls to block security holes in your browser or other application. This is currently only available for internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
Statistics: This basically shows you what your system scan logs have collected.

Update: If you can't figure this one out I will be a little scared. But in all seriousness this will allow you to update your program. When it goes through you will see it has 86 logs. That does not mean it has only been updated 86 times. That just shows the certain files that each contain their own information.

Quarantine: This is where you can modify all of your quarantined files.

Create Report: This will allow you to create a full report by combing your scan logs into one giant report. This is really only useful for a business, but I am sure one of you guys will find a way to use it.

Secure Shredder: This will delete the file multiple times so that there are no remains of the file to retrieve.

Settings: These are the settings that control the entire program you can change certain security applications of the program but don't mess with these settings unless you know what you are doing. I have mine modified but don't mess with them unless you know what you are doing.

Rootkit Scan: This will scan your system for rootkits which are a nasty form of malware that are hard to detect and remove. I will leave it at that but there will be a future post explaining rootkits in great detail.

Startup Tools: This will speed up your start up and can help to determine if there is malware that starts up with your system.

System Repair: This can repair inconsistencies with your system and repair issues that it finds.
Paid Version Only

Phone Scan: This can scan your iPhone apps and determine if they have a valid license.

Repair Environment: This can repair issues with your system if it is infected or repair issues with Spybot its self.

Boot CD Creator: This allows you to create a CD that can run Spybot before the system launched to scan for malware.

OpenSBI Editor: DON'T TOUCH THIS! You don't need this tool only use if you are a professional.
Scripting: Again you will not need this unless you are a professional or you are very skilled.

Summary:

Spybot Search And Destroy was one of the original antispyware programs and the reason that I recommend it is because of its amazing real time protection. You can't get this without paying for a super anti spyware license. Not to mention the fact that the company is still very dedicated to the product and they do not want to see it go. I say if you are looking for something to work in conjunction with your antivirus.

What Is A Worm Malware Talk

Posted on 2:56 PM by Unknown

A worm is a piece of malicious code that is meant to enter computers through security exploits so that it can either gather information or even delete certain files. When it comes to network security this is the one piece of malware every security expert fears. The reason is if the computer is infected and the antivirus program or firewall did not stop it then it can easily copy its self and send those copies over the network to infect other computer and mess them up.

How Do I Prevent Worms?

There are many ways to prevent worms many of them are obvious, but some might not be so obvious. The easiest way to prevent worms is to keep an updated antivirus program running on your computer and to change the settings so that it can be at its top specs. The options will vary from the antivirus product to another however I can show you what do for avast. You can check that out by going to the url at the bottom of this post.
The other way to prevent worms from getting into your computer is to keep a firewall that is setup with necessary protection by blocking incoming and outbound connection. This way you can stop the worm from trying to get into the network its self. Unfortunately, this will most likely not prevent it, but it can still help with the general protection of your computer. You should also have your network firewall running to prevent the worm from spreading to other users on the same network as you.

Keep your operating system up to date this is kind of a no brain er. Many people surprisingly don't have their computers set to update windows automatically and this is a major issue because Microsoft if releasing updates to improve the safety of your computer and you are not downloading them. So you should be downloading all of the important updates AND the optional updates because they can also be important but are not necessary.
Keep your web programs up to date. Now you will be wondering what is a web program and how do i update it. I say a web program is anything that your browsers uses to display or use web pages. These programs can be Java Microsoft Silver light, Flash Player, Basically anything that you use to display images in your browser. The reason is these programs have been known to have security exploits and are a common source of infection.

How Do I Know If I Have A Worm?

Your computer will be running slower and some files could be disappearing, The easiest way to check if you have a worm is to go into your computer's task manage and see if there are any unknown process running. If you are unsure what the process is do not end it look it up first generally the more common ones will be answered. But you will find a post saying that is a worm. Unfortunately, many programmers will make the process hidden so that you can not find it in the task manager. Leaving the only other way to find it is to scan for it using a variety of scanners that can be found at the end of this post.
Summary
A worm is a piece of malicious code that is meant to take and delete information from your computer and anyone else that is using your network. The only way to protect yourself is use optimal security settings with your firewall and antivirus. Make sure to have your network firewall updated as well so that you are protecting your friends from the threat to.

What Is A Trojan 32 Generic?

Posted on 9:56 PM by Unknown

I got a question from someone asking what a trojan generic 32 is and I am going to explain what it is you should do to remove it and what it is. You will get all of the necessary download tools at the bottom to determine whether, or not it is a false positive. If it is follow the steps below to remove it.

What Is A Trojan Generic 32?

This is a trojan that is made for a 32 bit operating system. Now do not panic it is actually very easy to remove these depending on the situation. I am going to assume that since you have internet access to comment that you can download programs onto your computer. You said that you were getting it when ever opening Visual Basic. Now this is a false positive or the antivirus that you are using is saying that there is a trojan attached to the program it's self. Now there are some tools to check at the bottom of the post to determine if the program is infected or not. Please remove the software if it found to be malicious.

What If It Is A False Positive?

Well I do not know what kind of antivirus program you are using however you should be able to blacklist or whitelist the program so that it is not counted as a trojan any more. However do not do this until after you scan with the programs below. There is a possibility that the antivirus is ringing up the program as malicious probably through some sort of script shield that is in the product. But if you do not want to deal with these false positives you might want to consider using another form of antivirus such as Avast!

What If It Is Malicious?

If the scanners below do say that this is a trojan then all you have to do is remove the program by uninstalling it and go to the Microsoft website and download the most recent version of visual basic and fill out the free version. Other than that your system should be fine. As always I recommend you checking as many other sources as possible to detect malware so use at least 2 of the below scanners. That way you can determine that it truly is a trojan and not a false positive.

Keep Your Computer Safe For Free

Posted on 9:49 PM by Unknown
There are millions upon millions of malware samples that are out there and not many people have the proper tools to keep their computer safe. So today I will give you the tools that can keep your computer safe from most malware and absolutely no cost to you. I will also explain to you why you need these products to keep your computer safe along with your personal information.

Avast! Free Antivirus

As we all know by now when it comes to free antivirus I recommend avast! antivirus. This top of the line free protection is unparalleled in the amount of features that you get for a free antivirus. You will get the basic protection including internet along with the files. But avast has gone above by including a number of shields and it is an award winning antivirus who scores about 85% or higher in independent tests while in lab testing it scores closer to 90%. This is really good especially for a free antivirus product that comes with only the basic.

Now this is important because this is the main force of your security if this fails there are only a few things that you can try to stop an infection. Your computer will need any 1 antivirus product. Emphasis on one you CAN NOT use more than one at the same time it can cause confliction and can cause many strange and indescribable issues. They are indescribable because they are truly random.

You can download avast through this link Avast!

Comodo Firewall

This is what as hailed as the best firewall on the market, and it is free. This is actually true in my opinion now it can be difficult for the inexperienced user but if you ever need help I can answer the question in the comments below or you can contact someone at Comodo for free who can walk you through it. It is very powerful because it blocks any unknown process' from inbound or outbound connection making it far superior than that of the default windows firewall. Please read the notes at the end of this article for important hints to avoid issues with your PC.
A firewall is what blocks your computer from hackers by blocking their connection to your computer. Now Comodo takes it to another step if the connection is unknown then Comodo can scan it with their products and if it unsecure you will find out. This is what stops the infiltration of hackers and is the main protection from hackers if this fails your antivirus product might detect the insecure file.

You can download Comodo Firewall through this link Comodo Firewall

Spybot Search and Destroy OPTIONAL BUT CAN STILL HELP

This product is a living legacy when it comes to anti spyware protection now over the years it has been losing to its competition Super AntiSpyware however this comes with many free protection modules. It comes with many in browser detection for insecure cookies and internet files, and it protects your computer from downloading scams such as the Babylon toolbar which is not and should not be trusted in any way.

Spybot  comes with protection from insecure files which is the main reason that it is better than that of super antispyware. This is why I recommend it more than that of its competition. But if you are looking for additional protection from spyware and adware then this is definitely the product that you are looking for.

You can download Spybot Search and Destroy through this link Spybot Search and Destroy

Comodo Kill Switch OPTIONAL BUT CAN STILL HELP

This little program is very similar to your task manager but say you downloaded a program that is containing a piece of malware well that is no problem for the kill switch. This program shows its rating from Comodo's own scan rating if it is unknown then it will be stated.

This program does not protect but is a second check to see if your computer is having an unsafe process running.

You can download Comodo Kill Switch through this link Comodo Kill Switch

Malwarebytes Optional

If you still feel you are not secure well then you can use Malwarebytes which is the go to scanner for detection. You won't need this if you used another 4 products, but this product is too good not to include it in this list.

You can download it here Malwarebytes

*****Important Notes****

When you set up the Comodo firewall, please remember to turn off your windows firewall or it can cause confliction.

When you download avast please remember to turn off any other antivirus program you may be running.

When you download Spybot please set avast and Comodo as exclusions so that they are not scanned.

When you have downloaded Spybot please exclude it on avast and Comodo so that there is no confliction between them.

When you install avast please restart it before installing Comodo

When you download and run Malwarebytes DON'T CLICK THE FREE PRO TRIAL.
